Not saying the dog should not have been be treated.
Not saying a person would have been more deserving of the money spent instead.
I am saying,
The dog did run away.
Will probably do it again.
Did not know what was going to happen before, during, after he got injured.
Or
why we, owners, veterinarian, rescue groups, etc., etc. where hurting him too.
Obvious,
had they put the dog down, the owner would have kept the money, if they had it to begin with; whatever they didn't put on credit.
Veterinary Specialist have it made; with regular veterinarian screening out the one's that can't pay, and charge for everything as well.
