Ever since I've graduated from school with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and entered the work field, visited my mother in Arkansas roughly twice a year.
As my sister, the firstborn, and her family lives in Sherwood, Arkansas which is 2 hours drive away; Dana was sharing her visit with my mother also. This placed the center of attention as she does her own thing, mostly cooking, having to split her ninety degrees between the two of us.
"jIm!"
my mother always starts out saying; uptalk kind of way. Once having my attention she continues,
From around the corner before I could answer, in a high pitch squeal from out of sight,
"COOKIES!"
"That little b-i-t-c-h!."
How did she beat me to that answer?
Firstborns smart, but younger siblings work harder – The Chart - CNN.com Blogs:"Competition between siblings can be fierce - from bickering over who gets the last cookie to whom Mom and Dad likes the best.
That competitiveness translates into the academic world, too."
