As a child from a traditional southern family, playing Barrel of Monkeys on the floor, church every Sunday, doing well in public school, learning a trade; in every sense privileged .........


Comfortable in middle age, an avid news reader, on learning the tragic story of a full grown chimpanzee destroying the face of a woman who offered a toy, only trying to help it's owner coax her surrogate child back into his cage......


Today being confrontational, ribald, offensive, restless, rebellious.......

Accused 'Craigslist killer' Philip Markoff commits suicide in Boston jail

COMMITS SUICIDE!
Really....
is this big new?

Did anyone expect him the will to live?

Really.....

Did something change?


Have we lost a chance to solve a crime?

Didn't we know who to blame?

Why has a chance for closure been lost?

Someone guilty still at large?

Reason to believe an accesory to the crime?

"Markoff, a former Boston University medical student, was also charged with armed robbery and kidnapping in two similar incidents in which the victims were not injured. Prosecutors contend that Markoff, who may have been motivated by gambling debts, preyed on prostitutes and erotic masseuses he met at hotels after seeing the women's ads on the Craigslist website."

"The family of Julissa Brisman is shocked and dismayed by the news of Phillip Markoff's suicide," according to a statement released by Djuna Perkins, the family's Boston-based lawyer. "Their grief for Julissa is as fresh today as the day over a year ago when Markoff took Julissa away from them. The long-awaited criminal prosecution was their only opportunity to confront him, and now he has taken that away as well."

In his arraignment the next day,
pleaded not guilty to homicide and armed robbery charges.

What do Julissa's parents expect to learn or gain from this lost chance to confront Mark?

He hardly knew,
"THAT GIRL!"



'This death should not divert attention from what really happened here,' he said. 'It should not obscure the overwhelming evidence against Mr. Markoff by the brutality of his crime. It is in no small way the ultimate indicator of consciousness of guilt.'"
Really don't think Mark Markoff meant "not guilty" the way they seem to be taking it.
