BARREL OF MONKEYS: "GENESIS" in Reverse

I consider myself a Democrat. Been called a Socialist. Definitely a bleeding heart liberal.

As a child from a traditional southern family, playing Barrel of Monkeys on the floor, church every Sunday, doing well in public school, learning a trade; in every sense privileged .........

Comfortable in middle age, an avid news reader, on learning the tragic story of a full grown chimpanzee destroying the face of a woman who offered a toy, only trying to help it's owner coax her surrogate child back into his cage......

Today being confrontational, ribald, offensive, restless, rebellious.......

How did I get here from there?

Glenn Beck: Lessons Learned From the Titanic - Glenn Beck - FOXNews.com
You see, the name of the boat is the America. But America isn't sinking. Just America as we have run it, is sinking. America, as we have known it, is sinking. But it's not the ship. Who cares about the White Star Line? We'll build another one. We'll build a better one, one that won't sink or one that will sink slower.

We don't care about the ship. We care about the people in it and the idea of the ship.

We need to get people into the lifeboats with the idea of the Constitution, because we can build a fleet off these.

It's the people and Founders' ideas that matter. It is incumbent upon each of us that are awake to lead the way, build life rafts, show other people how to build life rafts.

Then, without any malice in our heart, no matter what they said to us as they were pointing out the windows, you're crazy. When they finally get it, we need to be able to say to each other and say to them — not I told you so, but welcome, brother. Come on, get in the boat.

GLEN BECK FOUND HIDING IN LIFEBOAT

I'm not sure what point this idiot is trying to make using the Titantic as an example.     I don't question that it got pretty chaotic; the ship WAS going down, and building another ship WAS NOT an option. Surely there were people not told the truth, those prone to hysteria or those already there.  Overall, it was my impression, considering the dire situation, they handled it rather bravely, as apposed to being mislead, and remained calm.  Like some would view America or the Constitution as a ship, the Titantic also was thought to be unsinkable.

Not by our Founding Fathers.

The Constitution was nothing more than a gentlemen's agreement between states leading up to the Revolutionary War.  There were disagreements, religion and slavery being just two of them, women's opinion not even an issue , compromised or deferred to be dealt with later.

You know....a business plan.

No one was completely satisfied, even back then, with the final outcomes;  just content to risk, they had more to gain by independence from England, than lose by signing the Constitution.

  A gamble really.

The "Thirteen Original Colonies" won their indepedence from England; the South lost theirs from the United States.

The Constitution....so....is it or is it not sacred?

America will always be here, plus or minus global warming.   The Constituion......now that's a different story........ just a memory due to the likes of  Glen Beck who panic and drown thinking it floats......not trying to save it.... before his ship even set sail....... on it's first ever......gay cruise.

Ignorance is not always bliss!
Like Jesus to Christians,  Founding Fathers to Americans, The Constitution to Conservatives; seems they shine brighter and brighter each time the books get dusted off........for them just to admire the cover.

HOW COULD GLEN NOT KNOW HE BOARDED WRONG SHIP?

THIS SHIP IS OUR SHIP!

Sometimes it's nice to have time alone on an island in the middle of the ocean.  Shame, those who lived life the hardest, the minorities, can afford it the least.   From the way these people in video celebrated, just imagaine how those even less fortunate would have celebrated.  It may look over the top, but the real truth........you're just unreasonably difficult to live with when it comes to sharing dry land!

"One thing I like about the Digital age: having the dictionary at my fingertips, how easy it is to look up unfamiliar words as I go along reading." "At least....... until, I played my first game of SCRABBLE on the internet. Wow! I had no idea you could spell so many words with seven letters every time." "Now I feel pressured to catch up!"
