"Initial reaction to the cancellation was more relief than happiness. “God works in wonderful ways, and it’s gotten people to talk about Islamophobia,” said Ahmed Rehab, spokesperson with the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Mr. Rehab added: “The burning of the Koran is a serious offense…. You won’t find a Muslim burning a Bible or a Torah.” The spokesman said, “Frankly, there’s no good reason to burn anybody’s sacred text. If you don’t like it, then debate it, but don’t burn it.”"

Islamophobia?

Hypothetical reporter for local fag rag:  "Mr. Ahmed Rehab; a few questions for you:"

1. If Rev. Jones were to cancel his Quran burning on the condition you          moved back to country of origin.....hell, why  make it any more difficult     than it has to be....ANY Muslim country of your choice, would you?
2. Should women or homosexuals sentenced to death in line with shiria laws  be allowed to debate their sentencing; or even allowed to switch religion.
3. Not allowed to debate their death sentence,  they wanted a chance to burn their own sacred text before the sentence is carried out; speaking for          yourself, would you let them?
4. As spokesperson for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, why are   you here in America instead of somewhere over there? 
5. Exactly who's accusing who of Islamophobia?
