BARREL OF MONKEYS: "GENESIS" in Reverse

I consider myself a Democrat. Been called a Socialist. Definitely a bleeding heart liberal.

As a child from a traditional southern family, playing Barrel of Monkeys on the floor, church every Sunday, doing well in public school, learning a trade; in every sense privileged .........

Comfortable in middle age, an avid news reader, on learning the tragic story of a full grown chimpanzee destroying the face of a woman who offered a toy, only trying to help it's owner coax her surrogate child back into his cage......

Today being confrontational, ribald, offensive, restless, rebellious.......

How did I get here from there?

"What the FUCK!" / Lavish Obama vacation

Nation & World Lavish Obama vacation in time of economic turmoil raises eyebrows Seattle Times Newspaper:

"'When you are a public figure, it can be difficult to lead a private life. Despite the fact that much of this trip is paid for personally, the American people know that there are costs borne by the taxpayers and it's to be expected that the more expensive the trip, the greater the risk of criticism,' McBride said."

PUNCHED
LIKE IN THE GUT!

The article stated THE OBAMAS paid THEIR OWN PERSONAL EXPENSES; stressed actually, as they did so more than once. Also mentioned, THEIR FRIENDS also paid THEIR OWN PERSONAL EXPENSES. But this is where the real problems starts; they stop. That's the only reason given to justify the trip. They just stopped right there! Even I felt this trip was wrong, wrong, wrong. Wasn't the just the expense but something worse; much more so.......the appearance of ELITISM!

 Felt betrayed.

BLINDSIDED
BUT NOW I SEE!

Won't deny this still bothers me some;  but nothing compared to how I felt at first.  Made me uncomfortable searching for a way to defend them.  Felt as if covering up a crime; a feeling more befitting someone loyal. So glad it didn't take long;  loyalty being a term I associate with REPUBLICAN'S.

As the source of their party strength, it gives them an advantage, a majority,
they too often confuse as morality, as well as strategically abuse by  many within for selfish gains.  As loyalty exist everywhere, any abuse to the advantage of one party, benefits everyone within that party, even those who did not partake, or even aware.  Even not owning up to your party's past conduct, is an abuse of one's loyalty.

So glad to find within myself a way to forgive the Obamas for  the wrong they've done.
Not just to me but everyone as well.
To not join the calling,

the
HYPOCRISY
(evil as well)

that is
THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

The danger for the Obamas is that the trip may feed perceptions they are out of touch with struggling American families, said Chris Wilson, a Republican pollster.

"This in and of itself doesn't hurt President Obama, but it plants a seed in voters' minds ... that 'they're not like me,' " he said.

Although MATH is a pretty difficult subject to master, and I'm not saying that I have;  even SIMPLE MATH wasn't needed here by anyone who's counting. It came off sounding more like change left over after paying a bill.  No wonder so many took notice at the size of that difference. "HEY!  THAT'S NOT RIGHT!"  Any idiot would have thought so.

But it's a lot more complicated than that. The thought of anyone with a  gut feeling, even one way, way too small, having to help pay that bill bothered me.  The appearance of indifference, of thoughtlessness,  of an elitism.

 "What the FUCK THEY thinking?"

That was like offering them a bullet from your gun as a gesture of goodwill. Knowing they were expected to return the favor, they more than happily did so;  netting a total of  two guns, one bullet shy from both being fully loaded!
